Carla Jayne

Carla Jayne is a country/folk singer-songwriter originally from Hanna, Alberta, but currently based in Edmonton, Alberta. Crafting catchy melodies inspired by nature, she blends Joni Mitchell and Sheryl Crow. Carla tells stories inspired by her prairie upbringing in a thoughtful way. completign a Bachelor of Music from MacEwan University in 2023, Carla has performed at many venues, farmers markets, and festivals around Edmonton, including the aviary, the Station, SkirtsaFire Festival, flying canoe volant, and Kaleido Arts Festival. In 2022 she was the recipient of Macewan university’s victor-osten performing arts award, and in 2020 won the University of Lethbridge Audio Engineering Society student recording competition. she was selected to participate in the 2021 Ignites Series workshop for the Tiny Lights Festival out of Ymir, British columbia. Carla’s factor-funded debut ep is out now!
